About the UCWDC

The United Country Western Dance Council (UCWDC) was founded in 1989 with a vision to unify competitive country dance under a shared set of rules and standards. What began with 21 event directors has grown into a global organization representing 34 dance events across 13 countries on four continents. The UCWDC’s commitment to fostering a thriving dance community is reflected in its robust competition circuit, educational resources, and support for dancers at every level.
